There's Nothing Like New Orleans and Family to Chase Away Those Holiday Blues

A major deadline is met, a long, tiring, exciting, soul-redeeming semester is over, as is one of the most important, trying, painful, gloriously life-altering years of my existence; and so is another Blue Holiday Season. To mark it all and cheer its passing, below I have posted photographs of my family in New Orleans enjoying Christmas and toasting the beginning of perhaps the most jubilant year in the Bosco family for decades -- a child is coming!

Above is my son Joseph, his beautiful wife Michelle and mother-to-be of my first grandchild, and Linda, my high school sweetheart and former wife of 31 years -- and still gorgeous -- on Christmas Day.

Joseph and his mother.

Michelle, "You got that right!" Christmas morning.

Joseph, "What is this?" Christmas morning.

A week later and it's time to party on New Year's Eve; Joseph in the kitchen of their condo in the trendy Warehouse District downtown New Orleans.

Happy New Year! Joseph and Michelle at Pat O's
