Good on Mr Rood for this article. I particularly appreciate the fact that he has stated so clearly that he is doing this not for Kerry, but for his comrades whose reputations are being smeared along with Kerry's. Kerry, after all, is a politician and should be big enough to handle this on his own (and yes, I suspect he is). There seems to be a distinct lack of honour in American politics, so it is good to see such values haven't disappeared from American society.

Chris,
Some would say the phrase "honor in American politics" has become an oxymoron. I am very much afraid that it has gone the way of the dinosaur, never to return--on all sides, left, right, center, independent and Green. We Americans are greatly diminished by the loss.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I trust all is well with you and that the travails of moving are receding with the days--ours are.
All the best,
Joseph
Settled in just fine, I have too much experience at moving. I've never spent more than 4 years in one place.
Some would say 'Honour in politics' is an oxymoron. I often cringe at the antics of my own country's ruling class. On the whole I'd rather leave the past where it is, but there are certain things, such as honour, which seem to have a little too much in common with the baby thrown out with the bathwater. However, I still hope that one day, maybe somebody will prove my cynicism wrong.
I trust things are well with you, I look forward to hearing about the challenge this new job seems to be. Sounds like an exciting one.
Context should make it clear, but to save any potential confusion, and for the sake of honesty (I'm not a great fan of anonymous commenters), that was me, Chris Waugh.
I should just get a blogger account.
